If you like the unusual and original in lighting, then this is the light for you! I made this hanging light from a rusty old chicken feeder! Don't worry, I cleaned out all the scratch! This feeder was actually used to feed real live chickens! As you can see, I left the feeder pretty much as I found it. I did give it a good cleaning and then clear coated it inside and out with lacquer. The sockets are vintage style brass and porcelain. I have finished the brass on the sockets and all the hanging cables, pipe and canopy in a dark brown textured metallic rusty finish.

Here are the specs:
The feeder measures without bulbs: 8.5" high x 8.5" deep x 34.5" long. With bulbs installed it measures 12.5" high.

The light has a 35" drop from the ceiling canopy to the top of the fixture. From the ceiling to the tip of the bulb is: 47.5".

This distance is probably way to long for most installations, but you never know? Anyway, I can shorten the cables that the fixture hangs from to any length you request. I can also leave it at its present length, and you can shorten it yourself. It is very easy to do but it requires a little cutter called a BX Rotary Cutter. All electricians have one! But if you don't want to fool with all that, just tell me your required length and I will take care of it!

I can send you pictures of the ceiling canopy and hanging assembly. Please contact me!

It is pictured with "Marconi" Edison Filament type 30-watt bulbs. These bulbs will last 3000 hours. I am including the bulbs (6) with this light. I sell replacement bulbs for $12 each. You can also use any standard E26 base light bulb.

The fixture is wired and ready to be hard-wired into an existing junction box. It is not real heavy, but before screwing the fixture into a junction box, just make sure the box is adequately supported.
