This lovely antique crocheted reticule purse probably dates to the early 1900s (based on the other items purchased at this estate sale). It is a soft beige color and is fully lined in silk with no tears or rips. It has an intricately and delicately carved closure piece at the top that we believe is made of bone. It measures 8" tall (including carved bone piece) and 5 1/2 wide. The crochet is beautifully done and the material is a delicate and soft thread (not a coarse cotton). We have not attempted to clean this lovely reticule, but it has no odors or stains and has obviously been kept in a drawer for many, many years. A beautiful piece for a collector of Edwardian/Victorian fashion, or as an addition to any vintage purse collection!

We felt like this would be an absolutely gorgeous Bridal accessory for a vintage/antique style wedding or as simply "something old" for the bride to carry.
