This Seth Thomas mid-century modern starburst clock seems to be pulsating with atomic energy.

Vibrantly designed with 32 teak wood points in two successive rings. Brass toned accents.
"Seth Thomas" on the dial which also has atomic style factory printed design.

The clock measures an impressive 28 inches in overall diameter, and 7 inches across the face. The dial is original to the clock, with factory-imprinted numerals. The original battery -powered movement has been replaced by a brand-new quartz movement that runs on a single "AA" battery (a new battery is included.) The black-finished period style hands replace inappropriate substitutes.

Overall, the clock is in good vintage condition, with visible oxidation to the metal and some rubs and scrapes on the wooden parts. Two of the inner rays have small darkened areas on one corner near the ring. Please enlarge and then click again on each of the photos for a closer look. The clock presents very well on the wall, and its condition has been taken into consideration in the price.

The photographs accurately represent how the clock appears under studio lighting conditions (which are *much* brighter than most rooms at home.) The photos were taken using two 250 watt lamps (that's bright!) from distances of 24 to 60 inches. The marks of time recede in visual importance when the clock is viewed on the wall (for example, hung over a fireplace) in normal room lighting-- though they are there as you can see in the closeup views (taken at about 24 inches.) Just a reminder that I photograph with more light and at a shorter viewing distance than people generally experience with large clocks hung in living spaces or offices.

The clock's movement runs silently and keeps perfect time. A new battery is included. Just pop it in, hang the clock, and you're all set!

Shipping info:

This large clock ships assembled (that's the way it is made, sadly) which means a custom oversize box and hefty shipping costs. I wish it weren't so! but I use the least expensive shipping method.

The shipping fee listed reflects the size, weight, and complexity of custom packaging for this very large and fragile instrument.

The fees include a new custom-fitted shipping carton, and insurance against loss or damage in transit. Signature on delivery is required due to the insured value. I'll work with you to help make the delivery of this beautiful mid-century clock fit your busy schedule.

I *DO* ship internationally whenever possible. Please convo me for shipping fees happily custom-researched for your destination.
