With just a little work, this wonderful early 1920s silk dress will be ready for wear and the Charleston (gently!) all over again. It is a deep navy blue silk charmeuse with a beautiful luster. Cream piping runs down the left side, along a vent, down the wide dropped waist. The skirt has just a bit of gathering. Attached ties at the natural waist help adjust the dress to the size of the wearer, giving this a bit more shape than dresses of just a few years later. Please read the condition comments, as this dress will need repair to be wearable.

Please remember to accommodate for the slim, straight fit of the 1920s. This is a more generous size, but the bust should still be larger than your own measurement.

Bust: 49"
Waist: 49"
Hips: 52.5"
Length: 44"

Condition: Fair, Wearable with repair
As shown in photo #3, the top of the right shoulder has broken from years of being stored on a hanger. (The left shoulder does not have this weakness.) There is also some weakness at the upper back of the neck. The dress can either be taken up along the shoulder line, with adjustment to the sleeves as well, or it can be patched with a lining added behind the bodice to lend it strength. There is a cut at the elbow of the left sleeve, so I suggest removing the sleeves and using the fabric for the restoration. Well worth it for an otherwise wearable 20s frock in a hard to find size! Priced accordingly.
