Small farms In Scotland are known as 'crofts' and those who work them are 'crofters'.

Traditionally, your croft would include a strip of land running to the sea with your crofting neighbours' strips of land on either side - this run-rigging system allowed fair sharing of the most fertile land within a small community.

Crofters live by subsistence farming of the sea, the land, the rivers. Heat comes from cutting peat for the fire, light from the sun. You have to eek out your living from several different activities at once: weaving, farming, fishing, knitting and so on.

These Crofter Warmers are ideal for those with a crofting heart. They are unbelievably soft and cozy being mostly acrylic with wool and cotton.

They are thick and comforting and they will protect your hands while you gather crops or flowers, mend fences or build dams, dig the earth or admire the view.

Care instructions:
Keep your hands warm while you work outdoors.
Crofting Warmers: hand wash and dry flat.
