The cover of this classy little cookery pamphlet states "GIVING DELICACY AND FLAVOR TO DAILY COOKING BY THE NEW USE OF RUMFORD" . There are many mouth-watering recipes using Rumford Baking Powder that are made easy in this book - both main courses and desserts. This cook book was published during the Great Depression, so it took into consideration housewive's concerns about economy and frugality. It is likely this was used by someone's grandmother - or mother, even, as they toiled in the kitchen cooking up yummy meals for their family. The booklet has some great recipes - Here are just a few:

Vegetable Patties - Soy Bean Loaf - Baked Corn custard - Fried Spinach Balls - Philippine Goulash - Potato Lutkies - Escalloped Oysters - Kidney Stew - Salmon Gravy - Welsh Rarebit - Apricot Delight - Orange and Apple Whippet - Pocahontas Filling (for cakes) - English Cream Filling - Divinity Fudge - Sea Foam - Milk Pop

Rumford, Rhode Island, January 1931
