Black-and-white graphic illustration of semaphore flag signals. This is an actual page cut out from a vintage Encyclopedia Americana published in 1972, a reference volume that had been damaged, discarded, and separated from its original set.

On the reverse (see Image 2) is a color graphic illustration of alphabet flags and numeral pennants used in international maritime signaling. The color is off, with magenta instead of red.

Size: Page is approximately 9-7/8 x 6-3/4 inches. Only light wear.

This informative illustration would look very handsome framed. Also useful for collage or other art or educational projects.
