Fossilized Ivory carved from fossilized walrus ivory that is thousands of years old.

A beautiful Alaskan Carved Walrus Ivory hummingbird pendant with two intricately carved hummingbirds drinking nectar from flower blossoms.

Ivory expertly carved with great detail, wire wrapped in Argentium Sterling Silver fine wire. Measures 2 1/4" from top of pendant to bottom, and 7/8" wide. Suspended from a 20" beaded necklace.

Fossilized Walrus Ivory has been in the ground for 200 to 35,000 years, and was found under the glacier melt of the Behring Strait between Alaska and Russia. This piece was carved by native American Eskimos.


Hummingbirds are always seeking the sweetest nectar, and reminding us to seek the good in life and the beauty in each day.
