In the spring of 1912, a British Soldier by the name of Carl Webb stationed in what is now known as Poland stalked a man-like beast through wooded hills. Finally, under the light of the full moon, the soldier shot and killed the beast. Upon further investigation he noticed that the creature was neither man nor beast and could only be described as a half man, half wolf creature. He would later write in his journal “the beast’s hair was matted and long; it stood on its hind legs and had the speed of the swiftest horse. The face was elongated with teeth not unlike a dog’s”. Unable to drag the massive carcass back with him, he removed a single claw and returned to camp, by the time he managed to get a group back to the scene the creature had vanished.
