These two 1950's midcentury paperback books were made by General Electric for new owners of their refrigerators, food freezers, and stoves. Both are approximately 8-3/4 inches tall and 5-3/4 inches across. They are in good condition with minimal signs of wear and no handwriting or stains.

The refrigerator guide, "Get acquainted with your New General Electric Refrigerator Food Freezer Combination," has 76 recipes along with tips on using the new refrigerator, freezer, how to remove frost from the freezer, how to store items and use the "Turn Out Shelves," temperature controls, and "how to keep it young looking." The cover features a housewife in apron showing her new frig to her friend who has white gloves on. This book has 48 pages.

The other book is "How to enjoy Modern Electric Cooking with your new GE Automatic Electric Range." The cover features a young lady wearing a ruffled apron who looks very proud of the cake she just baked. It explains the GE Airliner Range, Leader Range, Speedster Range, the Thrift Cooker, The Speed Oven, Super Broiler, the Automatic Timer, and much more. This book has 51 pages and there are 11 pages of recipes, including Apple Cobbler, Roast Chicken with Mushroom Stuffing, Almond Cherry Pie, Custard Pie, Pumpkin Pie, Spanish Onions, Spice Cake, Vanilla Wafers, Apple Pie, Chicken Fricassee, Marmalade Pudding, Chocolate Steamed Pudding, and more.
