Did you know that the Etch-a-Sketch was invented in France in 1959? Me neither! It was invented by André Cassagnes, and called the Telecran or Ecran magique. It started being sold in the US in 1960 by the Ohio Art Company.

This vintage French version dates from around 1970 and is still in working order with the original box. Great for nursery or kid's room decor, but since it still works you can even use it for drawing! Go on, you know you want to!
