Marie-Grace is modeling a sweet summer dress with a beautiful floral stripe in violet and rose on a soft celery background. I thought it would be fun to show how some of her American Girl accessories complement this dress (I am not affiliated with American Girl in any way).

This dress is made from 100% cotton fabric with contrasting violet cluny lace trim. The bodice has a wide neckline tapered to dropped shoulders, customery during the mid-1800’s. The bodice is lined and features a chevron front center created by carefully cutting the fabric on the bias matching the stripes. This technique was used to visually create the narrow "V" waistline desired by fashion trends. Cluny lace has been applied to further enhance the V illusion, and the trim continues over the shoulder circling to the back closing. Five tiny rose colored buttons march down the center front. The sleeves have a narrow ruffle with cluny lace trim. The full gathered skirt has one growth tuck and the cluny lace circles the hemline. The dress closes in the back with working buttonholes and small mother-of-pearl buttons. Two lengths of rose satin ribbon are included to tie in the hair as shown in the photo with Cecile modeling the dress.

This listing is for the dress and hair ribbons only. Marie-Grace, Cecile, and any other accessories (boots, hat, and fan) are not included.

Proudly made in the U.S.A.!! This dress was sewn by me in my smoke-free/pet-free home. Seams have been serged for a professional finish. Edges that might fray have been sealed with a preventative.
