Welcome to my re-envisioning of the traditional "Dog Tag" Style.

I started making these tags several years ago and they have become so beloved by the Etsy community & in NYC markets where I sell my wares I decided to branch out and expand my ideas!

These are special hand wrought "Dog Tags" created in tribute to one of my favorite artists, the great Leonardo da Vinci

A beautiful gift for the one you love... or yourself, and you can add to them over the years!

♥ This piece consists of TWO sterling silver handmade "dog tags".

♥ I can also create a version of this piece with only One Tag!

♥ As well as "Yours & Mine" Tag Sets:

♥ ♥ Notable ♥ ♥

♥ Each tag is about 1 1/2" by 3/4" (some are very slightly smaller or larger)

♥ This piece hangs on a sturdy silver ball chain: 30"
Can be cut to any length you like at home for the perfect fit.

♥ There are 4 surfaces to work with and I can accommodate any number of letter / word/ image combinations as long as they fit on the tag.

♥ Mining for metals and gemstones harm ecosystems & human beings, therefore my metals are 100% recycled and fair trade and my gemstones are conflict free.

♥♥ You just let me know what your vision is and I will try to create it ♥♥

♥ I can include: ♥

♥ Names
♥ Dates
♥ Images - I have a hugs array of stamps, and also draw freehand designs.
♥ Quotes
♥ Lyrics
♥ and More!

♥♥ To My Amazing Customers Please Read ♥♥

The piece you are about to purchase is a work of art - it is completely handmade from scratch, and therefore no two pieces are exactly alike.

My creations put little value into perfection and seamlessness. More so they value the 'process of creation.' They come from within and at their best capture the world of the spirit, and always the world of aesthetic and emotion.

I like to work with people to create these pieces, and the more detail you provide me with the better I can create
your vision for the piece. However, do not expect it to come out looking as if it is made with a machine's precision: There are many wonderful places where you can find such things!

In my art you will surely see the hand of the artist "flaws" and "imperfections" that reveal the nature of the metal; It's rustic and ethereal grace, it's substantive and raw form.

I work incredibly hard on each piece (as I meditate on the subject matter of each project) to create a feeling and age that is the unique trademark of my work.

♥ When you are ready you can use this listing to purchase your piece.

♥ In the checkout process there is a section called " Note To Seller"

♥ In this area please include the customizations you'd like me to make: I make each piece from scratch so just let me know how you'd like your tag to look!

Bellow is the format I use - If you like you can copy and paste this and fill it out the way you want. You can fill both sides of the tags or leave one blank.

Tag 1 Side 1: (Vitruvian Man)
Tag 1 Side 2: (BLANK)

Tag 2 Side 1: Griffin 6/8/69
Tag 2 Side 2: 6/3/12

♥ Once you have placed the order I'll let you know if anything needs to be altered.

The cost is the same regardless of customization. So let me know all you thoughts and I will work with you to make them a reality in silver :-)

Love Love,

♥♥ The Vitruvian Man & Sacred geometry ♥♥

Created by Leonardo da Vinci circa 1487. It is accompanied by notes based on the work of the architect, Vitruvius.

The drawing is based on the correlations of ideal human proportions with geometry described by the ancient Roman architect Vitruvius.

♥ The belief that God created the universe according to a geometric plan has ancient origins. Plutarch attributed the belief to Plato, writing "Plato said God geometrizes continually"

♥ According to Stephen Skinner, the study of sacred geometry has its roots in the study of nature, and the mathematical principles at work therein. Many forms observed in nature can be related to geometry, for example, the chambered nautilus grows at a constant rate and so its shell forms a logarithmic spiral to accommodate that growth without changing shape. Also, honeybees construct hexagonal cells to hold their honey. These and other correspondences are seen by believers in sacred geometry to be further proof of the cosmic significance of geometric forms. These phenomena can be explained through natural principles.

♥ Geometric ratios, and geometric figures were often employed in the design of Egyptian, ancient Indian, Greek and Roman architecture. Medieval European cathedrals also incorporated symbolic geometry. Indian and Himalayan spiritual communities often constructed temples and fortifications on design plans of mandala and yantra.

♥ Stephen Skinner suggests that it is possible to place a geometric diagram over virtually any image of a natural object or human created structure, and find some lines intersecting the image. If the geometric diagram does not intersect major physical points in the image, the result is what Skinner calls "unanchored geometry."

♥ Pythagoras is often credited for discovering that an oscillating string stopped halfway along its length produces an octave relative to the string's fundamental, while a ratio of 2:3 produces a perfect fifth and 3:4 produces a perfect fourth. However the Chinese already had instruments that were thousands of years older, such as the Guqin that also feature these tonal scales. Pythagoreans believed that these harmonic ratios gave music powers of healing which could "harmonize" an out-of-balance body.
