A delicate brass anchor is just the ticket for any sailing fan! We've set it on a handforged, hammered sterling silver ring. The brass anchor has been lacquered to protect its finish, but if you would prefer it to age/darken naturally please specify in the notes.

This ring is available in a number of different finishes:

Silver plated: http://www.etsy.com/listing/105465179/silver-plated-anchor-on-hammered
Gold plated: http://www.etsy.com/listing/107805153/gold-anchor-ring-sterling-silver-ring

We also have a wide-band anchor ring available here: http://www.etsy.com/listing/112189343/rose-gold-anchor-ring-hammered-sterling

We can make it in your size - please leave us a note at checkout with your size in UK (Wheatsheaf) or US sizing. If you're not sure of your ring size, we have a measuring guide available here: http://www.fifthheaven.com.au/ringsizing.html

It will take up to 4 days for us to make the ring, and it will be shipped with a mini ring care kit in a gift box. Please read our policies page prior to purchase. Australia Post estimates 3-10 working days for delivery to the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. We've found that this is usually more like 7-14 working days.

Frequently asked questions about fifthheaven

Sales tax/duties/VAT/etc for non-Australian customers are not included in our prices; if applicable these are usually assessed and collected by your government or on their behalf by the postal service once your order reaches the delivery country.

Please note we can not mark orders as gifts or with a lower value to avoid import costs.

Our standard international deliveries are at a cost of $7.00 USD for the first item plus $0.50 for each subsequent item ordered together. A signature will be required on delivery for most locations (Delivery Confirmation instead for US customers). Please contact us if you need expedited shipping.

Delivery inside Australia is $5.00 USD for registered mail, or $10 USD for Express Post.
Our items are made to order, and will ship within 7 business days (Monday-Friday excluding weekends) from the receipt of payment, unless otherwise specified in the item listing.

We're committed to getting your purchase to you, but sometimes mail can take longer to arrive depending on delays at customs, adverse weather conditions, errors within the postal service or other reasons beyond our control. If you have not received your order within 40 days of dispatch please let us know so that we can have missing shipments investigated by the post office & begin insurance claims as needed. After 90 days we may not be able to lodge an insurance claim, so we ask you to contact us prior to this point.
If you change your mind on receiving your non-customised order we will refund the cost (minus shipping) on return of the undamaged item.

Please note we may not be able to fully refund custom/personalized orders.

We request that you contact us within 14 days of receipt. The undamaged item must be returned in its original gift box. We suggest sending orders back in a manner that can be insured (US and Canadian customers can purchase inexpensive insurance through u-pic.com which is less expensive than USPS/Canada Post) just in case the package is lost or damaged in transit.

Your refund will be processed as soon as we receive the undamaged item back. Please note we do not reimburse return shipping costs for change of mind returns.
We believe our responsibility doesn't end when we put your package in the mail.

All orders are insured against loss or damage in transit, so if you receive your order and find that it has been damaged, please contact us. We ask that you retain all packaging materials and damaged items as photographs may be required by our insurer before a claim can be made. Our insurer will also require you to fill out a very short online form to confirm damage or loss.

If you have received your order but we've made an error, we're sorry! Despite our best efforts we do sometimes make mistakes, so please let us know and we'll make it right for you. We want your experience to be hassle-free.
Some people are more sensitive to metals than others, and can react to the 7.5% copper in sterling silver. This can cause skin discolouration where the ring sits. This can come as a surprise to people when their previous experience with sterling silver jewellery has been rhodium plated.

Our jewellery is not rhodium plated. We offer the option of lacquering inside the ring for our customers with sensitive skin; this is not a permanent treatment but can be reapplied at home unlike rhodium plating. If you'd like your ring lacquered just let us know in the notes at checkout. We use the Protectaclear brand for this.

If you've already received your order, you can also use 'Jewelryshield' to coat the inside of your ring.
If you have received your ring and discovered that the size you ordered is no longer size you need, we can usually resize it or remake it for you--just send us a message to get the ball rolling! We will need you to return the ring at your expense, carefully packaged to prevent damage in transit. Resizing costs will vary depending on the ring type and if there is any engraving that needs to be redone, plus a small postage fee for the second posting will apply. Please note for international/non-Australian customers this may have a turn-around time of approximately a month via airmail. If you require a speedy resizing (such as for a gift or other time-sensitive reasons) we would recommend contacting a local jeweller.
To help keep your oxidized, sterling or gold filled jewellery looking its best, we recommend taking it off before applying any skin creams or lotions, showering, or going swimming. We also recommend taking it off (or wearing rubber gloves) when using cleaning products that contain ammonia or bleach.

Oxidization isn't permanent. It can wash away with soap and water, and if kept dry will generally fade to a weathered silver look over time depending on how much wear the jewellery gets. You can reapply the finish if necessary using the hard boiled egg method, just don't let your jewellery touch the eggs directly. There is an online tutorials here:

Our silver and gold are ethically sourced, mainly recycled, and eco-friendly. Our workshop is solar powered. We do not deal in conflict diamonds, and do our best to avoid stones such as natural emeralds if there is doubt as to how ethically they were sourced. With lower-value stones it can be difficult to prove that they were ethically handled every step of the way (from the mining, to the sale of rough, to the cutting into finished shapes), as it is extremely rare to have a certificate following an inexpensive stone from start to finish. We make sure to source our gemstones from trusted suppliers and try to support small businesses where possible. We also have a selection of lab grown stones that are both affordable and earth-friendly.
Smaller stones 5mm and under generally have a similar appearance - there can be more variation for stones such as moonstone, tourmaline, rainbow moonstone, labradorite and opal, and any stone with irregular colour patterns.

Some larger stones are very consistent in appearance, such as lab grown sapphires and rubies, black onyx and black spinel, white and blue topaz.

Other stones such as opal, labradorite, rainbow moonstone, amethyst, aquamarine, copper turquoise, tanzanite and tourmalinated quartz can differ more from stone to stone.

If you have particular requirements for a stone we recommend sending us a quick message to discuss it and we will do our best to match your needs.
Our rings are made specially for you once you have placed an order and we know the ring size you need.

The rings you see in our listing photographs are either photography models or rings made for other customers in the past.
