vintage French enamelware canister, Café or coffee tin, reddish brown with white
- - - - - - - -
This darling little canister is really quite special – it's a yummy reddish brown color with very thickly painted white enamel stripes and lettering. There's a thin black border painted along the white stripes and thin gold pin striping above and below that. While it has worn off in some spots, the gold is still shiny in most areas.

There are some chips and rust spots as would be expected given its age (estimated from the 1920s) but nothing that detracts from its character and charm. Most of the chips are along the rim of both the tin and the lid and on top of the lid's knob. The front of the canister looks great with just minor chipping visible (see photos).

The inside is also in good vintage condition with a few small chips – definitely usable for non-food storage (I use my set to store pet medications and treats).

Size: 6.5" tall x 3.875" diameter

Would look great in a cottage kitchen but also works great as a storage container on your desk or in the bathroom. Perfect gift for a Francophile or coffee lover!

***SHIPPING NOTE: on my larger items such as this one, I will refund the shipping cost difference if I've over-estimated it by more than $2. If you're interested in additional items, please convo me your zip code and I'll be happy to calculate exact shipping costs.
