This adorable casserole pot is marked Made in France. It has seen quite a few days in the kitchen, more than likely a farmhouse kitchen here in NC. It is a heavy little piece, cast iron covered in enamel.

It is about 5 inches high, 7 3/4 inches in diameter. There is some rust and some definite signs of daily use year after year. I did wash and soak it, but did not want to scrub it and damage any of the finish. In the bottom of the pot, there is a small rust spot that seems to go through to the bottom, but because of the heavy bottom of the pot, it does not go through.

On the lid, "LeCreuset" and on the underside of the lid "Le Creuset Made in France B"
On the bottom of the pot "LeCreuset Made in France B"
The top of the lid has the name and logo stamped on it as well.

No question that this was made to last years and worthy of the Le Creuset brand name.
