Yes, it would take an armageddon for me to eat a "shelf stable" chicken pot pie....

From the 1950s, this Dinner Time chicken pot pie tin evokes both good and bad memories: Good—mmmmm, chicken pot pie; Bad—chicken pot pie from a tin while huddled in your crazy uncle's bunker.

These vintage food tins were invariably all the rage during the Red Scare and the heyday of early "convenience" foods. The tins measure 6" wide at their top and are 1-3/8" deep. The bottom has all the details: "needs no refrigeration", "handy for unexpected guests", "all the taste and no work"—what else do you want in sustenance?

I have 6 of these vintage food tins, most in very good condition given their age. Some do have a scratch on the bottom, but nothing that mars the integrity of the tin, or renders the lettering illegible. If you'd like a photo of the bottom of the scratched ones, I'll send it in a convo.

Note: indignant chicken not included.

As always, I will combine shipping on multiple orders, refunding any overcharges over $1 via Paypal.
