Armatured cloth sculpture, poplar base
28" x 16" (including base)

Costume ca. 1475, Burgundian

Gold brocade houppleande with floor-length daggged sleeves. Aubergine re-embroidered satin kirtle (under dress), worn over a linen bellypad and underclothes. Pink stockings tied with points to underclothes, and suede slippers worn with wooden pattens. The high waist of the houppelande and the protruding belly are accentuated by the cloth and guilt-buckeled girdle. Her headdress is a heart-shaped hennin with floor-length semi-transparent veil and lurex trim.

The Lady Uta is an OOAK cloth art doll created in 2006. Her face is needle sculpted with inset glass eyes.
