This telephone is in awesome shape considering its age. It was made by Western Electric, and was popular in the 1950's into the 1960's. This one was produced on 1/20/60. (last photo) I found this one still with it's original wiring and in the original box. The home owner probably upgraded to a more modern phone at sometime and saved this one just in case. I rewired the phone with a modern day modular phone jack inside the case (pic. 4), so it can be plugged right up and start using. I've made and received calls with this little guy, it has the coolest sounding ring (with real bells) and the old bakelite handle just feels good while in your hand. This was truly a great find, it would make for a great conversation piece and you can use it as well. The phone measures 9 1/2" T x 5" W x 5" D and would look awesome on your wall. I've supplied you with a new black modular cord, the pics. show a gray cord but I have recently replaced it with a black one. Thank you so much for looking!
