Paper is our Specialty.

I have thousands of postcards and it is time to sell them. My Etsy store is for all sorts of Vintage paper items with mostly postcards. My catagories within postcards are : Real Photos, Expos and Fairs, Towns, Foreign Towns, Holidays, Sports, Wartime, Rare and Unusual, Transportation, Kids, Animals and More as I list them. These are great colletibles and can be used for framing or look great in a collage.

This item is a postcard probably bought during or shortly after the 1893 Chicago Worl's Fair or Colubian Expo and not used until later. It is postmarked 1910. It is a huge ship called a Whaleback and was used to ferry people to and from the Expo in 1893.....It was built in 1892. It is only one of the mammoth ships ever used for passengers. SDome of the ladies are seen wearing fashionable large hats and pre turn of the century dress. This a colored postcard.

There is some sort of emblem at the top left I don't understand. It reads "I Am"..Maybe you know. The ship is passing by a Chicago factory "American Family Scrap".....I suppose it is a Steel mill. There are no tears but a bend at the bottom and corner bumps. All cards will be mailed with bending protection and in a sleeve.

Check out my other Etsy stores for great gifts: I will ship items together even if they are from my different stores. Just let me know before you pay so I can adjust the charges to save you money on shipping cost.
