Handmade clay covered jar, made by me and fired in a wood burning kiln. This is a beautiful lidded jar, with great fire and ash markings. Please look closely at the picture that shows the jar with the lid off, and the last picture, the jar with out the lid. The lip has a small indentation caused by the melted ash making the wadding stick to the lid and the pot. I removed it carefully and sanded down the debris left by the wadding. It is not damaged, it is one of the characteristics of wood firings, or what the japanese call wabi-sabi, the beauty of the imperfect.
9' tall
20 1/2" in circumference at its widest point
3 1/4" at the opening.
