Vintage Mc Coy Era Twin Yellow Planters Circa 1950's. I found these on the last day at an estate sale, in a box of what-nots. What happy pieces to add to any mid century kitchen or to your Pottery Collection.

Each piece is in a melon shape, there are no cracks or nicks. One does have some crazing in the bottom, which the camera didn't even pick up. On the inside, one has some orange glaze and the same piece has a small missing glaze mark on the side, refer to photo # 4. These imperfections do not detract from the beauty of this pieces.

These pair has definite mid century pizzazz, use it in your office for paper clips. They measure 6 1/2" in diameter and are 3 /2" tall. It was not uncommon to find planters not marked, produced by Shawnee and Mc Coy.

Yellow is a great accent color and has always brought a smile to my face.

Happy gardening, or who took my paper clips?
