Mare Island Ensign No. 10 48 star American flag, possibly ship flown. The canton and stripes are of wool bunting, the stars are a double stitched cotton. Heavy lined sleeve with four brass grommets, flag is marked as shown "Ensign No. 10, Mare Island, Dec. 194". Made at the naval shipyard at Mare Island, which employed over 50,00 people for shipbuilding & repair during WWII. In good condition with wear, fading and discoloration.
Measures 2.9 x 5.5 ft.
