Vintage Eye Glasses, so old that I think they belonged to Benjamin Franklins daughter, Aretha.

These feature a somewhat round to oval glass, and very very delicate wire. The wire is brass, and has that old brass greenish blue patina in places.

Great for display in a library, or near your old book collection.
Place them on a stack of books, next to old letters or wear them for a dress up occasion.

The prescription is fairly strong, but what's really amazing to me is how good of shape the lenses are in.
Even under examination with a magnifying glass, I can see no scratches.

This is a true antique vintage item. Just holding them in your hands makes you wonder..who wore these?
Perhaps they wrote letters with an old feather pen by the light of a gas lamp.

I have them on my desk next to an old medicine bottle right now....what character they bring to the room.
Guaranteed they are 100 years old or older.
Enjoy

*Enlarge the last picture, it's super-sized, you'll see what I'm talkin' about. ;)
