On a recent trip to Abingdon, Virginia, I saw these lovely fabrics in a quilt store. They reminded me of softly faded vintage linens and I knew that they were coming home with me. I thought about what I was going to do with them all the way home. Since the Log Cabin is my favorite quilting pattern, I was starting to picture this quilt in my head. I am very pleased with the results!!

My "modified" Log Cabin quilt measures about 52 1/2" x 52 1/2" and was machine pieced and then quilted on my longarm. I meandered on it for awhile and then decided the middle panel ( the window of the log cabin) might look nice quilted a little differently. I used loops and some wonky, free-form flowers to change it up a bit. Check out the fourth picture for a view of the back...I used creamy white fabric and some leftovers from the front!!

I think that this is the perfect "porch swing quilt"!! You could also try it on some white wicker patio or sun room furniture; in your family room and of course, your shabby chic bedroom! I t would also make a spectacular baby quilt! Use your imagination...it would fit in anywhere!

I made this quilt in my smoke- and pet-free home.

International buyers welcome...please convo me for shipping info!

Thanks so much for looking!
