This bag has the blues!
Using my handspun yarn (some with coils and locks) as well as other luxury yarns (Tillie Thomas) to knit the 17" wide 15" high bag, I chose some cool wood grain and Jane Sassaman (Gothic Prairie) fabrics to create the lining and sturdy 42" across the body handles.
Inside there are several pockets- one from a burlap authentic coffee bean bag, one from a cool vintage silk tie (to hold your knitting needles or pencils, and one from a linen tea towl with a screen printed crossroads cafe image.
The caffeine high I was on probably fueled my need to embroider the words "midnight cup of joe" on one handle and "at the crossroads cafe on the other" in red perle cotton. The handles are 1 3/8th wide and can be worn across the body or on the shoulder.
Nifty key chain has tin globe, tiny porcelain teacup and rusty skeleton key.
It reminds me of a cool afternoon walk down to the coffee shop...stopping down at the crossroads where the devil makes his deals and a promise and a handshake can reward or ruin...
