Emulate your boho Mexicana sprit with this unusual handmade coin & gemstone bead necklace.
I was so taken with the simple beauty of the Mexican 20 cantavos coin depicting the mayan pyramid ruin of Teotihuacan, I knew it needed to be a centerpiece for one of my necklaces. The coin is dated 1943.
I created a handmade brass frame for the coin that is suspended from the lemon & leafy green swirled Agate & mustard yellow Marble bead necklace with a hook style brass clasp. The coin can be removed from the necklace & worn on other chains or bead strands and the bead strand can be worn alone or with other pendants.
The necklace measures about 18 inches long. The coin measures about 1 1/8 inches.
Brass acquires a lovely patina over time that is expected and beautiful. If you do not like the patina you can clean it up with a little brasso and a soft toothbrush.
Handmade & one of a kind! Created in my Treasure Coast Studio.
