This vintage 1965 paperback cookbook, The Italian Cookbook, has "160 Masterpieces of Italian Cookery" and is in very good condition. It has 68 pages, is 8-3/4 inches tall and almost 6 inches across. Printed in the USA and published by the Culinary Arts Institute of Chicago, it has many recipes as well as tips on blanching nuts, hard cooking eggs, making buttered crumbs, and more. There are recipes for antipasto including Melon and Prosciutto, as well as Soups, Breads, Meats, Fish, Poultry, Vegetables, Pasta, Salads, Sauces, Desserts, and more.
Some of the recipes are Little Hat Soup, Chicken Broth, Tomato-Cheese Pizza, Veal Scaloppine, Fried Scampi, Lasagne, Spaghetti with Meat Balls, Linguine, Mostaccioli and Cheese, Polenta, Pasta con Fagioli (Pasta with Beans), Marinara Sauce, Italian Sponge Cake, St. Joseph's Day Cream Puffs, Macaroons, Stuffed Peaches, and Caffe e Latte.
There are no signs of wear or use such as stains, handwriting, tears, or rips. It is in great shape. There are many illustrations and several color photos.
