Victorian era German Bridal Hair accessory

This beautiful and rare piece is reported to be from the 'Gründerzeit' movement of Germany, which was a movement during the 1800's (1850-1914) known for its classical liberalism and return to handmade crafts (I believe related to the English Arts & Crafts or Aesthetic Movements)..

This is a hand-made bridal diadem or hair accessory from that period made from finely crafted little flowers made either of paper or fabric, covered in a very thin silver foil. It is approximately 9.8 inches long. The frame appears to be made of wire or wood covered in a satin thread.

It's just so lovely, feminine and delicate and refined. It is also very unusual, I personally haven't seen another piece like it. Altogether magical.

It is in great condition for it's age with no outstanding flaws. There are some bent petals and leaves here and there but nothing to detract from it's wearability. Some of the silver foil is flaking off a little, I cannot promise you that by the time it reaches you it won't have flaked off more, although I will do my best to be gentle with it and pack it well. I recommend this lovely piece for gentle, one time wear or for a collector.

This piece will be sent by DHL mail from Berlin, with a tracking number.
