"In a pretty little house in a larger forest a long time ago there lived three bears..."

This Janet and Anne Grahame Johnstone illustration was salvaged from the 1977 book Dean's "A Book of Fairy Tales." It features the second page of story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears, with Goldilocks eating porridge. The back side shows the third page in the story where Goldilocks breaks a chair. The full-page artwork is fine and intricate, with gorgeous, lush detailing that draws you into the story.

The illustration measures 10 3/4" by 8 1/4". The page is clean with slightly rounded corners and minor creasing where it was attached to the the spine. Framed and matted these minor imperfections in the margin would not be seen.
