This piece of men's neckwear was recently constructed of new silk fabric. It is a light, soft silk in a plain weave called habotai. This is more historically correct for cravats than slubby silks like dupioni.

This Regency necktie measures 64" long from tip to tip, and 4" wide. Long cravats like this are able to go around a man's neck twice, then make a bow; or you may wrap it once and use the longer ends for more complicated knots.

My male mannequin has a 17" neck, so when you tie this onto yourself you may have longer ends to tuck in if your neck is smaller. Please choose carefully as there are no returns on neckwear.

Machine wash gentle, hang dry. A feature of lightweight silks like this is that they dry very quickly, so this is the ideal cravat for travel, as you can wash it out in the sink of your hotel before you go to bed, hang it up overnight, and it will be dry to put on again the next morning.
