I bought this lamp at an Estate Sale of a local architect. The entire house was mid century. All the furniture, all the accessories, all the rugs. . .it was great. I have in my sold list a set of his drawings. I also have listed a lava ceramic bowl that belonged to him.

The lamp shade is original to the lamp. There is a little bit of discolor to the top, but not noticeable. The cloth had come away from the wire at the top, so I had it professionally restored. I can send close-up images of the lamp edges if you like.

The on/off is really clever. Note how the lamp looks a bit like a Hershey kiss. You pull down on the tip of the kiss to turn the lamp off and on. All of that is solid and in fantastic working order. The top of the base has a nice brass plate so the repetitive action of turning the lamp off and on does not damage the wood finish. The base of the lamp has no scratches or dents. The cord is in great order. I even have the original finial.

The same lamp is on Ebay for 225.00 without the shade, but the shade is what makes the lamp. At one point there was a pair on 1st Dibs for over 3000. without the shades.

The lamp weighs 7.12lbs and is 33" tall. The harp is not removable.
