**Dimple Plush**: Soft and fluffy 100% polyester mid-pile fabric that feels delightful against the skin.

**Velvet**: Elegant low-pile 100% polyester fabric that offers a sumptuous touch and aesthetic appeal.


WEIGHTING FILLERS:
At Sensory Owl, we pride ourselves on customising our blankets to your specific needs. That is why we offer two types of fillers.

Choose between:
**Glass Granules**: These provide a smooth, fine texture reminiscent of sand.
**Natural Gravel**: Ideal for eco-conscious users, offering a lightly textured feel for tactile stimulation.

Rest assured, all our fillings are certified and free from harmful toxins.

SIZE:
Selecting the appropriate size of a blanket is absolutely paramount. It's important to bear in mind that larger blankets necessitate a greater weight to achieve the desired comforting effect. For example, if a child requires a 100x150cm blanket weighing 2.5kg, a larger option measuring 135x200cm should ideally weigh around 4.5kg to provide a similar level of soothing pressure. It’s crucial to focus on the weight that is in contact with the body, rather than simply the overall surface area covered. Furthermore, the dimensions should align with the intended use. If you're looking to use the blanket for a sofa—perhaps for curling up with a good book—you won't necessarily need a blanket of grand proportions. However, should you wish to employ it for sleeping, it's imperative to select a size that comfortably envelops you, ideally reaching up to the shoulders or neckline to ensure warmth throughout the night.


ZIPPER OPTION:
We proudly present a uniquely designed blanket featuring a convenient zipper running down the centre, ideal for couples who desire to snuggle in shared comfort. This thoughtful design ensures that each partner can enjoy the blanket without feeling restricted, allowing for an intimate yet flexible experience. Additionally, the zipper serves a practical purpose, making it easier to manage when the blanket requires laundering, especially if it is particularly hefty and not suitable for a regular wash. This blend of comfort and functionality truly makes our blanket a perfect companion for those cosy evenings. Should you wish to add Zipper please contact us after placing your order. The zipper costs £15 extra on top of the standard rate.

EMBROIDERY:
Are you planning to give someone special our weighted blanket? Embroidery is available at the cost of £15 extra. Please leave a note on the order or contact us right after placing your order. You can pick a thread shade or leave it to us to decide. Embroidery is always made on the fabric with the plain colour but should you like to make it on the specific side then please also let us know. All personalised items cannot be returned. Please refer to T&C's.

WEIGHT:
Determining the right weight is personal and should be based on individual needs and the specific conditions being addressed. As a general guideline, the ideal weight is approximately 10% of the user's body weight, making it suitable for mild neurological disorders or first-time users of weighted blankets.

**To find the right weight for you:**
1. Reflect on your reasons for seeking a weighted blanket. If deep pressure is essential, consider opting for a blanket that weighs 12-15% of your body weight.
2. Select your desired size, bearing in mind that larger sizes necessitate more weight. For example, a child weighing 20kg and standing 140cm tall would need a 100x150cm blanket weighing about 2.5kg. However, for a sensory disorder, a weight of 3-5kg might be more appropriate, depending on the required pressure, anxiety levels, and hyperactivity.

WASHING INSTRUCTION:
All our blankets are machine washable. To wash them, ensure the load does not exceed the blanket's capacity. Use a small amount of liquid, spin on low, and dry flat. Please keep the paper label for washing instructions.


BLANKET SETS:
Pillowaces are in size 70x50cm and the blanket cover is the size of the blanket. Should you need a different size of pillowcase, please contact us. The cover is in the same colour as the blanket but we can make it in different combinations. Please contact us to discuss the options.
