This piece was inspired by music by Spanish composer, Isaak Albeniz, which I listened to throughout the creation.

The skirt is constructed from three different cotton fabrics, her blouse is made from black embellished sheer fabric with white silk and lace. The sash is satin. Her skin is silk dupioni. The fan and headdress are constructed with free motion thread painting. All pieces are hand appliqued on a cotton background. Free motion machine quilting adds lots of texture.
18 1/2" wide by 25" tall. There is a hanging sleeve on the back.

Currently exhibited at Art Gallery of Viera's "Music to my Eyes" show.
