This chaplet begins with a beautiful filigree Italian crucifix, followed by three sets of 3 (9 total) 12x8mm auqua blue Swarovski crystal teardrops and ends with an Italian medal of St.Monica. I used 4mm bicone AB clear crystals as well as galvanized silver seed beads and lead-free Tibetan silver rondelles for the spacers between the teardrops. I've strung this chaplet onto heaveywight professional beading wire for maximum strength and durability. This rosary will last a lifetime of normal use and would make a beautiful gift of faith for anytime of the year! I'll include a St. Monica prayer card, instructions for praying the 'niner' chaplet and a drawstring organza pouch with your purchase.

A Brief History:
Born into a Christian family, but later was forced to marry an ill-tempered pagan. She bore two children, one of whom was St. Augustine. His writings are the main source of information about St. Monica. She was a reformed alcoholic who prayed unceasingly for the conversion of her abusive husband and amoral son. Her husband was not converted until he was on his death bed, but her son, Augustine, was converted by his mother's prayers and with the help of St. Ambrose
