i live in a town where the "civil war" was fought....my city was not destroyed because it was used as a hospital town for all wounded soldiers...so you can find lots of antique relics hidden in attics of many "antebellum homes"....
these were used as curtain rods in the 1800s and still remained popular during the victorian era...
so to find a treasure like this is amazing...
what fun to add a touch of history to any wall with this piece.......
measures 17"...approximately 3" tall
alone it would make a great architectual wall decor or use to hang jewelry, scarves, lingerie, towels, etc....

still in remarkably GREAT condition...
