From my Kansas Trade Bead Collection this is a hollow blown flat backed disk bead.

This bead is about 39mm in diameter.

Kansas Trade Beads are one of fifty-five state and territory named design groups
being developed for the American Trade Bead Permanent Collection, an encyclopedic
like study of glass beadmaking technique slated for completion in July of 2035.

Kansas Trade Beads study one of the oldest object forming techniques on the planet, coil potting. In the item above, twisted line cane was built up on itself to form the objects body. After the flameworking was completed, the item's surface was sandblasted and oiled to give it a pleasingly tactile, natural satin finish.
