L.C. Smith & Corona No. 8 Typewriter with 14 inch carriage.

This is a great machine!

Stylish good looks and in good condition. A winning combination!

The number 8 - 14 features an extra-wide 14" carriage for ledger entries.

It also features ledger entry keys of ., 1, 10,100,1000

This fine machine dates from between 1928 - 1936.

In addition to the ledger keys, this typewriter features:

*Backspacer

*Ribbon Reverse

*Variable Spacer

*Segment Shift

I tested each key and found no problems. It types well, and would look fantastic on display. If you are planning on using this machine, I would recommend a cleaning, oiling and new ribbon as this one is broken and dried.

None of the keys stick, but some are slow to return. The keys themselves are in good condition with some damage to the "E" and "I".

It measures: 9 1/2" High X 18 1/2" Wide X 14 1/2" Deep

I did not restore this machine, I only cleaned it a little. It works as is, but is being sold for display purposes only as it sits.

Bring this fine piece of history home and your guests are sure to say: "Well Wud Ja Look At That!"
