I have taken these in natural outdoor light, either shaded or overcast sky and most are taken against a grey background. This gives the most accurate light color rendition that I can manage.
The second picture is taken in filtered sunlightsunlight to try and show the colors clearly. the predominate color is the greeny dioptase and blue shattuckite. The green dioptase is rimmed with light blue chrysocolla. The brownish red on the sides is cuprite.
The different minerals in this cabochon have slightly different hardness's so the finish is slightly wavy, unnoticeable by eye but can be felt. The cabochon has been hand cut in a freeform shape. the material is natural and not stabilized. This was a difficult stone to get the colours on my camera. The dioptase is a nice green but doesn't show so clearly in these pictures.
This stone is not perfectly round as it has been hand cut, but approximates the 18.5 mm diameter

This is a beautiful stone from the Congo in Africa. The host rock was riddled through with a mix of dioptase stattucktite chrysocolla and dark cuprite. It makes one think of the colours of the earth and oceans.
