This set has been marked down from $110 to $95 for our End-of-Winter Sale!

A bright gold and brown pattern brings to mind a warm folk art sun. The "Honey Gold' pattern is sometimes called "Atomic Onion" because of the onion-like shapes on bands of the dishes. Call it what you like, this large, complete dinnerware set for four persons plus serving dishes is a sweet find. Taylor Smith & Taylor produced the "Honey Gold" pattern in the 1970s as part of it's Ironstone line.

A little background... founded in 1900 in Chester, West Virginia, Taylor, Smith & Taylor primarily produced dinnerware until the plant closed in 1981. The dishes, especially those dating to the 1960s, are quite popular and collectible today.

This set includes:
4 dinner plates (10-3/8")
4 bread & butter plates (6-3/4")
4 cups (2-3/4")
4 saucers (5-5/8")
4 coupe soup bowls (7-1/2")
4 dessert/berry bowls (5-3/4")
1 cream pitcher (3-1/4", 6 oz.)
1 sugar bowl with lid (4")
1 large round serving bowl (10-1/8")

The dishes are in very good vintage condition, and all pieces except one have with no chips, cracks or other damage. There is some minor wear/roughness to the edges of several dinner and bread plates. The patterns are bright and crisp, and are deeper in color for those dishes that sustained the least use, like the dessert bowls and the large serving bowl. The dishes are really shiny, and pictures 2 and 3 show light reflecting off the surface of plates, not a flaw. All in all, a very nice set for display or everyday use. The dinner plates are marked "Taylor Smith & Taylor... Taylor Ironstone USA... Honey Gold" on the bottom. Most remaining pieces do not have a maker's mark, although some are marked U.S.A.

This shipping estimate is for coast-to-coast Parcel Select in the continental U.S in the lower 48 states. A large set, the dishes will need to be shipped in two boxes to prevent breakage--each double boxed and insured--which accounts for the high shipping estimate. East Coast customers will pay less for shipping. An additional charge will be required for shipping to Hawaii, Alaska and internationally. I will refund any overage of $3 or more, and I am happy to provide an estimate for other locations. I also discount combined shipments and ship internationally, please contact me with your city & country for a quote.
