You fall into two categories: either you've read the books and you're looking for a vintage set, or you plan on reading this epic trilogy by some means or another. Guess what comrade: this is your chance! All three of these books are AUTHORIZED EDITIONS and were all published by Ballantine Books with J.R. Tolkien's personal consent. However, The Two Towers copy was published in 1973, while both The Fellowship of the Ring and The Return of the King copies belong to the same set and were published in 1965.

Both The Fellowship of the Ring and The Return of the King copies appear to have been read (albeit both boasting tight binding and sharp pages); The Two Towers appears to have never been read, having no creased spine. The Fellowship of the Ring copy has some light wear at the top of the cover, with a small tear on the top backside of the book. The Return of the King copy has a dogeared cover, but it rests flat and should not cause any inconvenience to the reader; at the top of the first page it seems to have been stamped by its previous owner.
