Blues, greens and yellows squiggle and swirl on this flowing silk dress, originally from Sangria in the late 1980s or early 1990s. While the squiggles initially appear simply flowing, closer inspection reveals a subtle paisley design, a twist on the popularity of paisley in the late 1980s. The sheer silk is gathered at the bust, is well-lined, and hugs the curves. The fabric flows down in two tiers from the empire level. The two hem levels are asymmetrical, scarf-like, and have beautiful movement and kick. The dress is fully lined in a white jersey with some stretch.

This dress can be dressed up or down; it can be beach-chic or be city-worthy. It zips up the side for easy dressing. Inside the bustline are two small snaps with delicate crocheted loops, indicating this dress may have had a halter strap originally. One can be added, say, with a ribbon in a matching color. But the dress does hold up snugly in strapless form.

The dress is in very good condition, with few signs of wear. It retains the original Sangria labels: the fabric is 100% silk, and the lining is 100% polyester jersey; the dress is marked a size 10 and would fit a modern size 6-10, depending upon specific measurements.

Measurements (lying flat):
Bust (across front): 16-18 inches
Waist (across front, untied in back): 15 inches
Hips (across front): 19 inches (somewhat undefined with flow and flare)
Length (bustline to hem): 34-38 inches
