These vintage dog spelter bookends by Ronson are incredible! Dating back to approximately 1925, these Art Deco bookends are made of spelter - a metal alloy. Spelter was popular as an inexpensive way to replicate the many bronze statues of the time. The bare material is a light grey metal and on top is a black metal finish. The finish has chipped over time but honestly that makes them much more appealing. You may see these bookends repainted - but this is an original finish!

This listing is for a set of TWO cast metal, hollow bookends. They are called "Three Puppies" and feature three puppies looking over a brick wall. The bottoms of the bookends are covered with very old paper - but rips or holes. One edge is coming unglued due to age.

Approximately 6" tall. The base is 4" long by 3 1/2" wide. They weigh about 4 1/2 lbs.

I can't say enough about how darling these are!
