These braids are a bit oversized as it is the end of the polwarth/silk blend for a while. The length of each color has been adjusted appropriately to maintain the fibonacci style gradient.

This alluring braid is handpainted on polwarthand silk blend base fiber. It is 85% wool and 15% tussah silk which which adds luster to the polwarth.

This is the newest of our established colorways to be now made available as a gradient.
The top was dyed in the colors of golden pear(with pale green and some spots of gold), pink and red using the fibonacci mathematical formula having pear the smallest amount and the deep vermillion red as the longest piece.

Polwarth is a Merino/Lincoln cross with a staple length of 4-5 1/2 inches. It has a fineness of 22-25 microns. The addition of silk to this wool adds a subtle sheen and will produce yarn of next-to-the-skin quality. It is truly a pleasure to spin.

This fiber will felt so please use care and wash in cool water and lay flat to dry.

This colorway is repeatable should you need or want more.
