"Call me Ishmael." One of the most recognizable opening lines in Western literature, from Melville's epic, Moby Dick, about the great white whale, and the captain obsessed with catching him. These tiny earrings feature the words "Melville" and "whale" - cut from one of our vintage library catalog cards. Each set of word pair earrings is one of a kind, since each card we have is one of a kind. Eco friendly, as the cards get reused instead of tossed out, and your card will come with your earrings so you can see the card(s) they were cut from.

Set in aged brass leverbacks (see example in last photo), these earrings are a mere 1/2" across (12.5mm) and hang at just about 1" (25 mm) when in the ear. Words are secured under crystal clear glass. Very lightweight and comfortable. Water resistant (you can run to the car in the rain) but we do not suggest swimming or bathing with these on, since one element of these earrings is paper.

More word earrings coming as we find interesting cards in our catalog.
