4 French embroidery magazines which all date from 1960's
Each one is a different issue.
These were primarily issued for the professional embroiderer who took commissions for monogramming linen. Monogramming household linens such as sheets and tea towels and undergarments, was a long standing tradition in France, sadly very few young people nowadays bother, so the tradition is dying out.
Lots of monogramme patterns and embroidery ideas to copy and transfer to your own work are contained in the pages.
The magazine takes the form of a one large piece of paper folded. Folded they measure approx 17.5 by 12.5 inches approx when folded.
As we are dealing with very old paper they have some slight damage such as yellowing of the pages.
I have included a close up of the summary of the contents of one of them.
