Here is very old compostion doll in a linen chirstening gown and wee bonnet. She has seen better days and has a rather haunted look. I have displayed her in the second, third and fourth photos by simply tying a very old piece of cloth around her waist which I then hung from a nail, I think this might be a good way to go with display. Or you could use a stand as in the first photo. She is herself 10 inches long with the gown extending 7 inches below her feet. Only her head and hands are composition, the rest of her, including her feet, are cloth. She is, poor thing, missing the fingers of her right hand. I will include the piece of fabric I used with the doll (and will try to get around to tea dyeing it to match) in case you would like to use it as I have.

She has a sybylline presence.
