Vintage French Grapevine Corkscrew

This traditional "tire-bouchon" or corkscrew comes from one of France's vine-growing regions and is made from a length of grape vine.

These would have originally been used by the wine growers themselves but were eventually adopted by other French people.

It has a little plaque screwed on to it which says it is from the 'Ets de Jardin' and the maker and region (the Loire) are engraved on the straight metal part of the corkscrew which has some rust on it.

This one is approx. 8 inches long and 3 inches high (not counting the metal corkscrew part) and feels comfortable in the hand. I have personally tested it and can confirm that it still works!
