Hand illustrated bottle with blue lines and cobalt blue glazed arms.

Individually handmade in London, each piece is unique.

This piece is a figure from the Gift Shop collection part of Genuine Tales of Poisonous Calamity; a combination of Victorian poison bottles and gift shop souvenirs.

Based on this story:

“Once upon a time we arrived in Harwich with the boat and got out. And just outside there was a small shop that sold chocolates with a small placard in the window that said ‘Gift Shop’. And I got very scared - ‘Gift’ in German means ‘poison’. I thought Oh my God they are going to poison us after all! ‘Gift’ became the very first word I learnt in English.”
