[Robot Researchers Log 7/15/12]

Like Block, Reach, Buzz, Ritchey, and Medusa before him, it appears Sammy is yet another newly discovered artifact from the DMI (Desktop Management Initiative).

[For the origin story of DMI, you'll have to read about Block https://www.etsy.com/transaction/70808741?transaction_id=70808741 and his other robot friends.]

Unlike most DMI robots, this one we've heard of, just never thought we'd ever come across due to its extreme rarity. Sammy the Samurai was intended as more as a gimmick than being useful. His duties we're mainly pencil sharpening, pen holding, pencil sword arts, and simply bragging rights for cubicle users to be like "I have a samurai on my desk!". However the DMI didn't expect such a horrible problem in their programming to emerge. Rumor has it that the Sammys started violently misbehaving when they realized their honor was at stake with such mindless duties. They would attempt to perform Seppaku on themselves, repeatedly, with whatever object they were holding, over and over, until they short circuited. I guess the DMI may have programmed a little too much Samurai into these guys. In any matter, the Sammys we're quickly recalled and completely hush-hushed. Its amazing we came across this little guy. You know honestly I don't even know how we find these guys. I need to get out of this lab....EARL!...

[End of log]

He's made almost completely out of bicycle parts except for a few nuts and bolts.

He would make a great conversational desk piece and pen holder anywhere, or be a comical gift for any gear head. Sammy is a solid sculpture with no moving parts. He is currently raw metal, but can be clear coated upon request, free of charge.

He weighs in at about 11oz
3 3/4" Tall
3" Wide
